Hello

My name is Jelly Robinson. I’m a mobile hairstylist based in Houston, and I work with kids on the autism spectrum and individuals with disabilities or different abilities. But what I really do goes way beyond haircuts.

I specialize in building grooming tolerance — helping kids and adults get comfortable with something that can feel scary, overwhelming, or even impossible. Every client I work with gets a program that’s built just for them. No rushing, just patience, understanding, and love.

I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio. Both of my parents were hairstylists, so you could say it runs in the family. I went to hair school, got licensed, and within a year I knew I needed more. I packed up and moved to Houston and it turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made.

Back then, I had no idea my path would lead me deep into the autism community. But it did and I’m forever grateful. This community changed me. They taught me more than I could’ve ever imagined.

Over the years, my work has been featured on Fox News, The CW, Great Day Houston, Voyage Magazine, podcasts, and events. To build awareness and acceptance because what I do matters to families who often get overlooked.

To me, this is about more than just hair. It’s about accepting differences. It’s about creating a space where someone feels safe enough to be themselves even when the world doesn’t always make room for them.

I won’t feel fully accomplished until there are more people doing what I do — not like me, but better. This work is needed. Everywhere.

And truthfully? Where I am now — this is just the beginning.
